Broken Open

Five years ago, Tuesday Eastwood’s life collapsed and left her devastated. After an empty, nomadic existence, she’s finally pieced her life back together in the small Oregon town of Hood River. Now Tuesday has everything sorted out. Just so long as men are kept for sex, and only sex….

Then she met him.

Musician and rancher Ezra Hurley isn’t the man of Tuesday’s dreams. He’s a verboten fantasy—a man tortured by past addictions, whose dark charisma and long, lean body promise delicious carnality. But this craving goes far beyond chemistry. It’s primal. It’s insatiable. And it won’t be satisfied until they’re both consumed, body and soul…

The Hurley brothers rock! “I’m ferocious. I’m dark, and broody and broken.”

I LOVE Tuesday!! She is tough and together and brilliant and I aspire to be just like her.  She’s been broken and put herself back together and she knows what she wants and doesn’t mince her words.

I knew with Ezra’s issues that there might be a problem with the relationship thing and I was on edge thru the whole book waiting for what he was going to do to “ruin” things. Tuesday was amazing handling it when it came to a head and I was thrilled beyond all that she kept it together and showed Ezra he was worthy of their HEA.

Cyber Illusions

Taryn Bellamy has shamelessly used the art of illusion to build a name for herself in the entertainment industry. But it hasn’t magically made it easier to raise the twins left in her care by her past best friend.

After one of the twins runs away, Taryn chases the girl all the way to Miami, where she comes to face to face with the kids’ father. He’s an FBI agent—and he sparks a dangerous heat in her veins. Heat that could send the heart and soul of her closely guarded life up in a puff of magical smoke.

When tech genius Tyler Greer traces a hacker’s cyber trail to a private runway at a Miami airport, he’s surprised to find Taryn, whom he suspects was involved in a series of high-profile art thefts years ago. A crime he could never quite make stick to the slippery, sensual illusionist.

Then he discovers the kids in her care are his. The truth rocks Tyler’s world…and leaves Taryn fearing the greatest crime will be against her heart.

Last Sensory Ops book?!?! Say it isn’t so!!! I love the Sensory Ops world, crime, mystery, suspense and hot men! It doesn’t get any better.

Tyler the FBI tech guru extraordinaire running up against an amazing hacker that he has to work super hard to track down is fun enough but to find out that his hacker came by his skills genetically is hysterical.  This is a sweet story where dad finally gets to meet his kids and is dazzled by them and the woman raising them. I like how they work together to solve the crime and protect Taryn.

Wolf At Law

Long before Mason left Willow Bend, Ryan met his mate and brought her home…this is the prequel to the Wolves of Willow Bend and the story of Ryan and Tiffany.

Ryan Huston serves the pack in all their public financial dealings. Connected politically and personally, he possesses a unique ability to segue into and out of human life. He’s never been afraid to use his animal’s dominance to his advantage and, though he and Toman—the Alpha of Willow Bend—are often at odds, his loyalty to the pack has never truly been tested. Not until he meets Tiffany.

Tiffany Anderson grew up hard in a world defined by its uncertainties. Meeting Giles Taglioni seemed like a happy accident turned fairy tale. Five years into the abusive marriage, Tiffany wants out. Tiffany knows Taglioni will never let go of his daughter—he’d kill her before he lets her take Alexis away from him. A desperate woman with no options until a chance encounter changes everything.

Ryan is like no one Tiffany’s ever met, but she doesn’t dare believe him when he offers to help her. Long ago made familiar with the monsters in the dark, she doesn’t dream of princes on white horses sweeping her away. She also never imagined a big, bad wolf was exactly what she needed.

Ryan is my favorite wolf in Willow Bend. He’s sneaky and manipulative and completely brilliant all wrapped up in one hot man. I like that Tiffany is a strong woman in spite of her circumstances and because of her daughter.  I loved seeing how Ryan earned his family and just how his ailities gain him the respect of the pack even if he isn’t the #1 Alpha.

Elusive Hero

Book XII of the Vampire Queen series, originally launched as part of the Invitation to Eden series.
(No familiarity with the Vampire Queen series is needed to enjoy this title!)

Release Date November 4, 2014

Vampires drink blood, they’re superior to humans, and they’re sexual Dominants. Every vampire knows those truths. A vampire’s human servant is property, plaything, pawn—and the only living being a vampire can trust. Though she may own him, body, heart and soul, a human servant keeps a vampire from feeling alone in her dangerous, political world. But Kaela has a secret. She’s a vampire with a burning need to submit, to belong to a Master, and definitely not a vampire Master, who will use the advantage for political or emotional domination. But what kind of human male will consent to becoming a vampire’s servant, a 300-year life of utter servitude, to be her Master behind closed doors? An invitation to Eden offers her the chance to discover her elusive hero…and indulge the bliss of surrender…

A submissive vampire?! What?!?! No one could pull this off but the amazing Joey W. Hill!  Her BDSM Vampire world is very intense and Elusive Hero just adds more intensity to that world and I think Joey shows us the meaning of and the need for the BDSM credo “Safe, Sane & Consensual”.  This story had me on pins and needles wondering how it could possibly end happily and at one point I was in tears knowing it could never work out. The ending made me very happy and I would love to see how Garron and Kaela make their relationship work back in Lady Lyssa’s world.

Furious Fire

Grimm’s Circle, Book 8

November 2014

The Grimm are coming to an end…the second to last book

He is the love of all her lives…

Thomas Finn, troublemaker, gunslinger, guardian angel…loner. More than a hundred and fifty years ago, he was shot in the back then brought back to life just in time to watch a demon masquerading as his best friend kill the love of his life.

Now, as a Grimm, he satisfies his need for vengeance hunting down demons like the ones that took Rebecca from him. His mission: kill as many as he can, then, when the time comes, go down in a blaze of glory. But with each kill, he comes closer to a line no angel should cross.

Her name was Rebecca. Then it was Tilly. Then Ada. Now, Kallypso. She’s lived so many lives, she can’t even remember when or why it started. All she knows is, she’s always searching for a man with golden eyes that make her burn. And when she finds him—as she always does—she knows that spark of joy means she’s only seconds away from death…again.

This time will be no different…unless something breaks the cycle once and for all.

Warning: Contains the Groundhog Day of star-crossed lovers, a pissed-off guardian angel, a demon-hunter with an axe to grind, and the battle to end all battles. Be warned…there’s pain ahead in this book. Oh, and that HEA finally happens. For these two, anyway.

This will be the second to the last in the Grimm series…make sure you read it…want to see how it all comes down…

I love the Grimm series and while I’m sad that this is the second to last Grimm story I’m very happy that Shiloh is writing the stories to wrap up this series rather than end it without a conclusion. That said OMG it’s fantastic! I’ve been waiting for Finn’s story since we met him and I wasn’t disappointed. There was mystery and suspense and it was so intense I couldn’t stop reading and the ending made me cry….yes Shiloh is evil that way. If this (the second to last) was intense I’m on pins and needles waiting for the last book in this wonderful series.

Book 8.5

One night can change everything

Ethan Malloy has distanced himself from the world after his wife’s death. Two years have passed in self-imposed loneliness. During a fateful snowstorm, he finds a stranger in his house when he returns. Ethan’s life will never be the same.

Fiona Carmichael didn’t intend to get lost in a snowstorm or end up spending the night in a house with a man she barely knew. He made her yearn for what she’d never found—a home, a man to love and be loved by.

Circumstances threw them together, but will they take the life fate offers them?

A Malloy novella

Awwww Ethan. Knowing Ethan has been so sad throughout the Malloy’s series made The Present such a sweet story. Fiona is perfect for Ethan and their story makes a person believe in new beginnings.  I don’t read historicals but Beth Williamson/Emma Lang is one author I’ll make an exception for. Loved it!

One affair, thirty days.

Since his last relationship blew up in his face, bomb expert Brad Crosby has lost his appetite for “permanent”. But his kid brother’s best friend? Now there’s a curvy morsel he could wrap his lips around.

For years Brad has been the star of Madison Graham’s fantasies. If only she were the kind of put-together girl he prefers, not a pastry chef whose makeup consists of a dusting of powdered sugar on her nose. A belief that’s confirmed when her apartment floods and he offers to let her sleep in his bed—alone.

Wrapped in Brad’s sheets, she dreams of his touches, his kisses, the feel of his body on hers. Except her dreams feel like reality—and come morning, she realizes it wasn’t a dream at all.

Soon the two are burning up the nights. But as Madison’s sweet love grows on him, Brad can’t help but think of extending their time together.

Too bad Madison keeps reminding him their affair has an expiration date.

Holy Moly these two have some smokin hot sex!! I’d have to say my favorite part is the fact that Madison is curvy and over the 30 days she spends with Brad, she develops the self confidence to know that she is awesome and he learns true trust.  This is a fantastic addition to Cathryn’s In The Line Of Duty series!
