He can party, meet lots of girls, and hang out—at least according to professional student and artist, Penny Novak. When they tangle in the sheets, George quickly realizes she is more than an affair…

She lives life on her terms…

Penny enjoys a bohemian lifestyle and plans to live as a poor artist for the rest of her life, answering to no one but her muse. Spoiled George doesn’t impress her, but when her sister asks her to keep an eye on the brat prince, Penny can’t help but tweak his royal nose. When he rises to the occasion and proves he can be funny and charming, they hit the sheets. Reveling in their carefree affair, Penny has no complaints until George slips and declares his love. Galvanized by fear of a set in stone future, this commitment-phobe bolts…

Changing the rules…

He’s never wanted anyone the way he wants her. George will go to any length to prove they were meant to be together. Even grow up…

So you know how the hero is always doing something stupid and you’re heart is breaking for the heroine and you hope he get’s his crap together for her?  Well flip that LOL.  I wanted to slap Penny upside the head on more than one occasion.  It’s a good thing that girl learned cuz I was ready to just take George off her hands.

This was a good story and a great part of the Going Royal series!

A man who gave up on love

Mitch Bradford is an intimidating man. In his professional life, he has a reputation for demolishing his opponents in the courtroom. At the exclusive BDSM club Sanctum, he prefers disciplining pretty submissives with no strings attached. In his line of work, there’s no time for a healthy relationship. After a few failed attempts, he knows he’s not good for any woman—especially not his best friend’s sister.

A woman who always gets what she wants

Laurel Daley knows what she wants, and her sights are set on Mitch. He’s smart and sexy, and it doesn’t matter that he’s a few years older and has a couple of bitter ex-wives. Watching him in action at work and at play, she knows he just needs a little polish to make some woman the perfect lover. She intends to be that woman, but first she has to show him how good it could be.

A killer lurking in the shadows

Assigned to work together on an important case, Mitch and Laurel are confronted with the perfect opportunity to explore their mutual desire. Night after night of being close breaks down Mitch’s defenses. The more he sees of Laurel, the more he knows he wants her. Unfortunately, someone else has their eyes on Laurel and they have murder in mind.

I know this is a suspense romance and I’m supposed to be worried about Laurel and I was annnnnd I wasn’t.  While Laurel would love to be taken care of by Mitch and to serve and love and take care of him I know that she is a strong woman and can take care of herself and she has her family. Mitch is the one I was worried about….dude was gonna fall apart.  I was very happy when Remy “convinced” Laurel not to give up and that act helped Mitch believe.

The thing I love best about Lexi stories is the humor. I literally laugh out loud, I read parts to whomever is in earshot (watch out world) and I reread the funny parts over and over.  I was practically on the floor laughing when Mitch was talking to Ian while he was “asleep”.

Never has BDSM made me giggle so much.  Good story, great series an absolute must read!!

BLURB:

A bet between Eros, the God of love & desire, and Chloe (Chlotho), the Fate of birth, leads to a year filled with match-making and passion.

~~~~~
Celeste Kincaid is on a mission: Find the injured deer in the woods near her home and heal it. Once she does, she can get back to her real job; healing animals brought into her practice and teaching the next generation of faerie healers. She can also get back to dipping her toe in the dating scene. But from the onset of the task, she gets the feeling something isn’t right. When she finds the injured deer, which ends up being a sick fawn in the back yard of the sexiest Wood Elf she’s ever seen, she knows something is up.
Owen Foster is in love, well, at least lust at first sight. The blonde-haired goddess standing in his backyard is every man’s fantasy come true; until she opens her mouth and accuses him of being a crappy elf. He can overlook that misguided belief as he helps her care for the fawn, but when her youngest sister shows up and acts like they’re together, he’ll have to go to desperate measures to prove they aren’t.
A meddling mother dabbling with faerie magic, the worst storm they’ve ever seen, along with a bear and a fawn—will these two be able to turn their instant attraction into a love of a lifetime?
~~~~~

NOTE: Mystic Zodiac is a 12 book series. It is NOT a serial. Each book ends in a happily ever after for the main couple. However, the prologue and epilogue of each story follows the Gods that kick off the series, Eros and Chlotho (aka Chloe). At the end of the series the bet between the two will come to a conclusion.

This is a sweet/hot story and I’m so happy it didn’t take a dive into crazy when Mama Faerie overstepped.  I like that Celeste is a strong independent woman and seriously if I was her I’d have one less sister….just sayin.  I know Owen may seem hard to like to some but I was all over him.  My favorite character is Chester and I have my suspicions….hmmmmm

Duke by Candace Blevins

Duke

RollingThunder_Duke_400x600

Book one of the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club…

Duke’s friend’s little sister had been off limits when they were growing up, but Gen is all woman now, with the sexiest curves ever. However, bringing her into his life now, as the new Rolling Thunder chapter establishes itself as a powerhouse in Chattanooga, would put her in danger.

Gen has no idea she already knows one of the bikers until she arrives to show them some downtown properties they’re looking to buy.

They live in different worlds, and despite being a successful businesswoman, Gen has led a sheltered life. She wears couture, while Duke wears Levi jeans and his MC colors on a black leather vest. Not to mention, he’s a werewolf and she’s a blissfully unaware human. Can two people, so different, possibly work?

Warning: Graphic sex, and a controlling, drop-dead gorgeous werewolf who happens to be president of a motorcycle club.

So I met Candace at AAD in Atlanta a couple years ago and I’ve been wanting to try her books but I knew they were very intense so I kind of put off buying them a bit.  Then Duke caught my eye and I like MC books so I had to have it. Now I’m kicking myself for not reading all the rest of her books and I have to back track and get busy reading.

This is a well written story with fascinating characters. Everytime Gen got angry with Duke I was right there with her wanting to throat punch him myself but through all their ups and downs I thought the ending was perfect.

I’m off to shop now…..I need to read about Frisco, Isaac, Cam & Cassie 🙂
