Brain by Candace Blevins

Someone has hacked past Brain’s firewalls and sold the MC’s information. Brain and Bash are on a mission to catch the hacker, find out who hired him, and then make him pay.

Until Brain discovers the hacker is a woman, and just as smart as him. She’s so clever, he chases her a full week before he finally catches her.

She’s the enemy, and yet his wolf wants to protect her from Bash. Worse, his wolf is beginning to decide he wants to claim her.

This isn’t going to be pretty.

Warning: Fights with full-on violence and lots of blood, as well as descriptions of horrendous tortures to a captured female.

Yes, this one went to a dark place and was a bit tense in spots but Candace did a fantastic job of handling it!  I’ve read books where the heroine was tortured and jumped right into intense BDSM sex with the hero, we all know that would never happen.  Brain is thoughtful and understanding all while remaining the brilliant dominant man that he is.  I loved how the story and the characters came together. This was a well written, deeply intense story that I could not put down.

This is a sweet update novella and unless your heart is immune you may tear up a bit….cuz Nikki loves to make us weepy….and she’s good at it. A wonderful addition to Tulle & Tulips, read them all!!

A Santini Takes A Fall by Melissa Schroeder

A Santini Takes the Fall

A man avoiding his destiny.

Anthony Santini is happy with life. The former Marine is now working a dream job for NCIS in a dream location: Hawaii. He’s watched his cousins and now his siblings fall into the Santini Curse and that is not for him. Not yet. He’s happy to play the field and enjoy life. It still doesn’t stop his cousin’s wife from trying to fix him up.

A woman avoiding love.

Lalani Hawkins has had enough heartache to last a lifetime. The professional dancer isn’t looking for love and she definitely doesn’t need a man like Santini in her life. After the worst blind date in history, she thinks she’ll never see him again.

For two people who want to avoid each other, Lalani and Anthony can’t seem to achieve that. Each time they meet, Lalani falls a little more under the Santini spell, and for Anthony, he is drawn to the vivacious dancer. But when Anthony senses her hesitation to commit, he starts to formulate a plan. Because when a Santini man decides he’s found his mate, there is no stopping him.

HaHa Anthony!  The Santini curse strikes again! Boy those soul mates sneak up on you when you least expect it.  I like Lelani & Anthony’s story because it feels more real and not all sunshine….I’d be the one with the snarky comments and fired up shots and loving every minute of it. Another rocking Santini and I love his mom as much as I love Joey….just glad I’m not a Santini DIL…LOL

Amber by Brandy Walker

New Release for July

Amber: July, Mystic Zodiac, Book 7

She’s isn’t looking for happily ever after…

Amber Thompson is a Siren. A love-em and leave-em, let’s have some fun for a little while kind of woman who isn’t looking for a long romance, let alone a happily ever after. It just isn’t part of a Siren’s DNA. She loves her life in the small town of Summerset and loves working at the Mystics Only bar, Ecstasis D. Taking home a sexy as sin wolf for a night of fun shouldn’t change that.

He didn’t know he was looking for a change…

Andreas Stathos is a bored, business suit wearing, drowning in paperwork, wolf-shifter. His company, A Shift in Style, is doing great and he couldn’t be happier, except the spark he used to feel is missing and has turned into obligation. It doesn’t help matters that he can’t remember the last time he had a date or took the time to go wolf. At a friend’s urging, he gets out of town for the long weekend hoping to get in touch with his wolf and maybe find a little companionship.

Maybe together they’ll find something more.

As soon an Andreas steps into the bar, Amber and Andreas both know their lives will be changed. But how much depends on one stubborn Siren and one wolf’s ability to convince her they have a future together.

I must be a Siren!  Loved this story. I love that Amber is a badass heroine and that Andreas is a creative and determined wolf.  I want to date Frost and put a camera in his office cuz that place is a hot zone LOL.  Wonderful addition to the Mystic Zodiac series!
